Social Media and Data Driven Targeting in Election Campaigns: The Italian experience in a comparative perspective

“The Italian experience in a comparative perspective” is follow up of the February workshop “Social Media and Data Driven Targeting in Election Campaigns” will take place May 14th. This is especially devoted to discuss the findings from different studies conducted on the recent Italian election campaigns and the problems that have involved social media. Particular attention will be devoted to issues related to micro-targeting, echo- chambers and privacy.

A comparative focus with Sweden will be highlighted as political elections will take place in this country in September: scholars from Mid Sweden University will attend the workshop.

The Perugia declaration approved during the February workshop will be discussed as well.
