Anna Lisa Tota è Professore Ordinario di Sociologia culturale e Sociologia della comunicazione presso il Dipartimento di Filosofia, Comunicazione e Spettacolo dell’Università Roma Tre, dove dal 2007 al 2017 è stata Direttore del Giornale d’Ateneo Roma Tre News e dal 2014 al 2016 membro del Consiglio scientifico del Teatro Universitario “Palladium”. Insegna dal 2007 come Gastprofessor alla Hochschule für Wirtschafts, Rechts und Sozialwissenschaften di St. Gallen. E’ stata Chair del RN “Sociology of the Arts” e del RN “Sociology of Culture” dell’ESA e membro del Board della Research Committee “Sociology of the Arts” dell’ISA. E’ stata Expert Evaluator per la Commissione Europea e dal 2015 al 2018 Coordinatrice della sezione “Processi e istituzioni culturali” dell’AIS. Si è occupata di memoria pubblica, trauma culturale, arte, teatro, musei, gender e media, musica, fotografia, pubblicità. I suoi lavori sono pubblicati in italiano, inglese, spagnolo, tedesco e portoghese. Anna Lisa Tota is Full Professor of Cultural Sociology and Sociology of Communication at the Dept. of Philosophy, Communication and Performing Arts of the University Roma III in Rome, where she has been appointed as Director of the University Journal “Roma Tre News” from 2007 to 2017. She has been also member of the Scientific Council of the University Theatre “Palladium” (2014-2016). Since 2007 she has been “Gastprofessor” at the Hochschule für Wirtschafts, Rechts und Sozialwissenschaften (University of St. Gallen). She has served as Chair of the ESA RN “Sociology of the Arts” and of the ESA RN “Sociology of Culture” and Board member of the ISA Research Committee “Sociology of the Arts”. She has served as Expert Evaluator for the European Commission and Coordinator of the Section “Cultural Processes and Institutions” of the Italian Sociological Association (2015-2018). Her works have been published in several languages on the following topics:
public memories, cultural trauma, sociology of the arts, museums, theatre, gender and media, music, photography, advertising.
